ready for winter again...

well..
ready , as in...

our firewood is ready for winter to hit us again

the small pile,
on the left,
is the leftover wood from last season..
we started with 11 skids of wood,
and only used 7..
so we have 4 skids
of really dry firewood
to begin this winter with..

as of today,
there are
12 skids of wood,
drying..

again, last years wood
is the small pile in front,
this years fresh cut/split, and piled wood
 is in the back

apple trees

our apple trees are in full blossom

all 16 of them!

the past 3 nights,
we have had mild frost and/or snow..

and we have 2 more nights
where the temps are forecasted to be
around 2 C...

so far the frost has not damaged the blossoms..

it doesn't take long

for the snow to melt
once it starts...

where Ron had plowed a path
so we could get to the wood pile (right side)
the snow has melted a lot

but a little bit closer to the bush
and the snow starts to get deeper...
you can see the little blue trailer
to the left of the 4-wheeler tracks

just past the blue trailer
is the entrance to the bush

the trees on either side of the entrance
are some of the trees
that Ron and Tyler were pruning
last week

the black trailer is finally uncovered from snow
....
but we can't get the 4-wheeler in to the bush yet

coming back out of the bush,
you can see the trailer-hitch drag mark
in the snow just in front of the 4-wheeler hood
so there's still a good amount of snow to melt
close to, and in , the bush

the temps are supposed to hover around +10 C
in a couple of days,
with lots of rain too...

I'll take some more pictures next week
and maybe we'll be able to get back in the bush
on the 4-wheeler by then
